Offline 1:1 Language exchange

Join our in-person 1:1 language exchange to experience immersive and focused conversation with Korean partners. We maintain a respectful, goal-driven atmosphere to ensure that this is a space for genuine learning — not flirting.

To date, over 300 participants have joined SYL-S, with complaint rates due to inappropriate behavior kept under 2–4%. We separate time fairly between English and Korean, so both parties can meet their study goals.

Same concept with SYL-S, now online via Zoom. Practice Korean with native speakers from the comfort of your home. We match you 1:1 with a Korean partner for focused and friendly conversation — no distractions, just connection.

SYL - A (Activities) 

Social Gatherings in Daejeon & Sejong

We host casual events to help international members socialize with Korean locals. Our monthly meetups are divided into three themes:

1. Culture & Fun: Exhibitions, festivals, meals, drinks, picnics. etc..

2. Sports & Fitness: Jogging, archery, bowling, climbing, dance.  etc..

3. DIY Workshops: Painting, ceramics, candles, baking.  etc..

Each event is managed by an SYL host to ensure everyone feels included. In 2025, we’re also launching our first SYL Bowling Tournament.

SYL - T (Travel)

1-Night, 2-Day Trips Across Korea

Explore Korea beyond Daejeon! Our overnight trips combine culture, games, and connection. Activities include BBQs, karaoke, local landmarks, and even custom experiences like morning yoga or traditional music.

Each trip welcomes around 40 people, and most return for more.

Our parties average 120–150 guests and are filled with games, music, and unforgettable moments. We aim to create big-city energy in Daejeon — so no need to travel to Seoul for a great night out!

We collect and verify key info to help international members adjust to life in Korea — from halal restaurants to transport cards. No more vague advice from random chatrooms.
